The Last Jedi ticks me off even more. Rian needs to be banished to documentaries on the Scientology channel.

I truly wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, but Star Wars has been a part of my life since age 6 in '77, and the more this latest shite sinks in, the more pissed I get!

I finally got around to watching TLJ. I turned it off after the first 40. I finished a few days later but Jesus it was a struggle. Wish they would remake it

In the same boat, first time I watched it the fan boy was going on all cylinders, 2nd time I saw the light as to how awful it was. Damn it.

Yep, TLJ was a huge steaming pile of crap that totally destroyed any excitement I had for the new trilogy. And now I hear they're actually moving forward with Rian's own trilogy....frick that guy.

What bothers me is that they literally could have told almost the exact same story in the ST without invalidating the original trilogy just by replacing the Resistance with the Republic and by introducing us to at least Rey and possibly even Kylo as students at Luke's Jedi academy.

I realized yesterday when reading the MCU vs. Star Wars thread that I won't be seeing the next two Star Wars films in theater. It made me sad like someone had taken something away from me.
I'm usually first in line on opening for a SW movie. But TLJ killed it for me. I would even argue against SW being anything that special any more.

Do yourself a favor -
1. Find copies of Harmy's despecialized editions of Star Wars, Empire and Jedi online.
2. Download and put them in a safe place and make backups.
3. Then never watch that new shite ever again.
4. Live happily ever after, Star Wars-wise.

Sorry Jor Jor, was just making an observation. Star Wars is a big part of my life and catching ROTJ on tv just brought up the new shite in my head. What pisses me off the most is that my amateur arse could have taken what JJ did and written a better movie than TLJ, easily. And Disney should be ashamed for that alone. Rian should never be allowed near this franchise again, but in this sad SJW world I'm sure he'll be heralded for his heroism. This world is sad.
