I was such a fan of the comic that I bought the spinoff, Fully Adult Thermonuclear Samurai Elephants. I swear to God, I'm not making that up.

what each one does with his down time

leo=traines his skills, because he knows he is not the best and wants to be the best)

raphael-talks trash(needs to because he know he is not the best, but wants tpeople to think he is)

michalangelo-eats pizza

donatello-keeps his mind agile(cross training), which keeps him fresh, he doesn't need to train his skills beacuse everyone knows they are the best

he is kicking someones arse right now

Seriously when did Donatello start garnishing so much respect? He has always been the loser of the bunch.

At first glance most of the kids back in the day liked Mike, the goofy fun loving character. Then slowly some of the leader wanna-bes drifted over to Leo. As my generation aged, it became clear that Raph was the coolest because he was the anti-hero of the group, the meanest, baddest fighter who was the borderline anti-thesis to the clean cut Leo and the darker complement to Mike. Donatello's entire existence was predicated on the idea that the writers needed someone to come up with cool ideas to move the story along. There's a reason he used a staff: he had to keep his distance because he couldn't hack it at fighting like the other turtles.

BULL shite

Don was worthless in the original game. His range of attack nearly made him un-usable. To kill a robot rat or other small enemies you had to press down + B. Everyone knows he served two purposes in that entire game:

1) Jump on top of the crates and press down and hit the top of Rocksteady's head for an easy and cheesy victory to end stage 1.

And 2) he was the worthless turtle you could afford to swim around the level of electric seaweed. By the time you disable all the bombs you want your good turtles near full health. You don't need Don after this stage.

Think about when Casey Jones knocked Raphel's arse into the trash can and put him to sleep.

then think about in "Shades of Grey" Casey Jones encounters the donatello by a ravine as he was pondering "the fractal structure of natural patterns". Casey accuses the turtle of using big words and acting better than everyone else. Donatello suggests they should continue the conversation when Casey is sober. Grabbing a stick, an angry Jones continually pokes the turtle until he loses his temper and sends Casey careening into the water.

donatello can beat casey jones who can beat raphael.

It's all about match ups and from what I remember Raph trounced Jones until Raph lost his temper.

No one is denying that Raph's hot-headedness could cost him a fight. What we are saying is that on pure fighting skill, Raph was unmatched. In the latest installment Leo says that Raph is not ready "yet" to lead because he is hot headed. Then Leo makes the mistake of saying he is better than Raph. At that point Raph wipes the floor with him.

There is a reason Don never mouthed off to Raph. So I'll admit Don was smart, that was the point of his character. He was smart enough not to incite Raph's anger.

Pure fighting skill is not the same as being the best fighter. Clearly Raph has the most raw beat-your-arse ability, but his inability to control his temper drops him on the list. If your opponent pissing you off causes you to flip your shite and LOSE the fight, you're not the best fighter.

Mikie goofs around too much. He's that stereotypical villain-type, that will beat you down but showboat enough for you to regain strength and frick him up.

I don't think Don has the fighting skill needed to overpass Leo in this conversation, though his intelligence would help him win many fights.

So Leo it is.

Except for the fact that Leo and Raph have fought and Raph clearly beat him.

Well, if we want to look at actual video evidence, Leo puts up the best fight against Shredder (who is obviously a better fighter than all the turtles):

Rooftop awesomeness.

Also, check Mikey's masterful dominance of his weapons against a fellow chucker (while Raph lays on the floor unconscious, I might add).

i do agree he let his anger get the best of him at times, but when shite got real deal holyfield, you wanted raph leading the charge, no question

Raph owned by Casey Jones (though he puts up a decent fight).

And this is hilarious: Raphael is gangsta.

It was made pretty clear that the movie from a couple years ago doesn't count into this discussion.

I think everyone is selling Mike's humor short as a fighting tool. He is so goofy that he lulls his opponents into a sense of security, then he strikes. Before they know it he's cracking more jokes and eating pizza over their lifeless bodies.

Ok, well the how about volume 1 of the original source material where Raphael nearly killed Shredder single handedly? Also the orginal creators stated that Raphael was the "strongest in might."

Psh, after the "I whipped your arse with a shoryuken even though you were armored" moment, Leo was obviously thrown off his game by the surprise of it being Raph. He clearly held back!

I thought that was real for a second, I was like I don't remember that part in the movie.
