i think this thread needs a little more explanation of what we're asking for? Are we asking actors with absolutely no acting talent and get placed in teh same type cast role because thats all they can do?

or actors without substance to their acting ability?

And very soon anyone in the Seth Rogen clique could fall into this category.

I disagree. Seth Rogan comedies often pit him as a central characters but they have very good supporting characters that pick up whatever slack he leaves. Pineapple Express had James Franco, Superbad had Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, and his Cop friend, and Zach and Miri had Craig Robinson. What makes Will Ferrel unfunny is the fact he tries carrying all of his films and he just cannot, and the only film he was in that was stellar was Anchorman and that's because his surrounding cast.

Seth Rogan may not be a terrific actor but his stories are hilarious and he does a good job of surrounding himself with a good cast. This is coming from someone who is a SEVER critic of comedies.

I'm not questioning anyone's talent or ability. I'm just talking about actors/actresses who no matter what movie or role they are in, it seems like they are playing the same person over and over. Obviously it isn't a blanket thing, but true for the most parts.

Some actors make a career outof it and it never gets old i.e. Morgan Freeman, Mel Gibson, Denzel, Clint Eastwood, but for my part, some actors characters get old. For example, Adam Sandler, Martin Lawrence, etc.

Christopher Walken is always strange. Sam Elliot is, or at least always should be a cowboy of some kind.
