Actors who play the same character in almost every movie,
In no particular order some of the more honored ones-
Denzel Washington
Jack Nicholson
Robert De Niro
Samuel L. Jackson
Al Pacino
George Clooney

Maybe lately, but if you look at their entire body of work, they are probably two of the most diverse actors, in my opinion.

Jackie Chan - High flying martial arts laced w/ comedy
Jet Li - High flying martial arts w/ a little bit of seriousness
Jason Statham - lots of scenes of him fighting people w/o a shirt and doing ridiculous stunts
Daniel Craig - almost the same as Statham, both have the Brit accent, both incredibly fit, only difference is one is Bond, James Bond.
Vin Diesel - Crap!!!

Are we talking good actors or shitty actors?
Because then you have:
Steven Seagal
Jean-Claude Van Damme
Cedric the Entertainer
And very soon anyone in the Seth Rogen clique could fall into this category.

i agree with this but Craig has played other roles and done fairly well at them...Road to Perdition comes to mind
now in defense of deisel even though i agree with it...he has acting background and unfortunately his size and look puts him in one role. You see glimpses of actual acting talent in "a man apart"
but for the most part they're placed in one role because they lack substance to play another role.

Can't believe no one has said Will Ferrell.
He's funny but enough is enough.

I wouldn't totally agree with Johnny Depp. He does bring a little of the same type of person to each character he plays, but you don't get Jack sparrow in every role. Unlike for example George Clooney who is the same character in every movie.
Mostly agree with Morgan Freeman. Some exceptions like Lean on Me and Unforgiven.

I actually think that dude is great because of his versatility. He brings something unique to every character that he does. Raoul Duke, Edward Scissorhands, Jack Sparrow, just to name a few.

Nope, pretty much the same character there to. I'm not saying he's bad at what he does, it's just the only thing that he does.
