Anyone else like this film?

Bill Nighy is fantastic as are Domhnall Gleason and Rachel McAdams.

It’s one of those movies that just tugs at your heartstrings in all the right ways. Going back at the end to see his dad after he passes. Damn.

Yeah I love how they make you think it’s a love story but it ends up being a story about the love between and father and son. One of my favorite movies.

It’s amazing. I was straight blubbering at the end the first time I watched and it still gets me every time. I just lost my Dad a couple of months ago, and I can’t bring myself to watch it again yet.

What’s weird is my wife totally didn’t “get it”. She cries at a lot of movies, but I think this one is strictly for fathers and sons.

It's one of the best 10 or 15 movies of the past 15 years.

Saw it at a friend's house this past spring, and it definitely deserves more attention.

I liked it a lot. The best way I can describe it is as a "chick-flick for guys." I thought it was going to be something like The Notebook, but then I was a mess by the end and my wife was stoic, wondering why it got to me so much. I think it just might be the sort of story that hits men harder.

Richard Curtis movies are fantastic. Love Actually is great.

I still haven't seen Pirate Radio.

Easily.

I watched it years ago and bawled my eyes out. Then watched it again with the old lady and we both did. I always recommend it to people looking for a movie suggestion, especially for guys. And I basically sum it up as "If you love your dad then you'll love/appreciate this movie."

It's so completely great.

my dad and i have a fairly strained relationship and i still lose my shite every time this movie comes on.

it's a perfectly balanced movie. i put this and crazy stupid love in a whole different category than other romcoms.

I just finished it and goodness....I'd be lying if I Said, I'm not crying right now.

This was an amazing movie and I consider myself a movie Geek and had never even heard of this before I stumbled upon it on Cinemax and recorded.

10/10 would recommend this.

The piano during the movie just hit me in the feels throughout and then the ending of course is gutwrenching.

Edited : My parents drove the hour over and had dinner with me tonight, and after they left I finished the movie, and I actually sent my dad a really deep text telling him I loved him and thanked him for giving me a life I never deserved and that most people could only dream of.
