First thing I would do would be to get people I know to do it with me. Call up a friend of mine who is a big movie nerd like me and who agrees with me on most things, then put out a plea to Baloo, Freaux, and OMLandshark, all of whom have strong opinions that I do not always agree with to join me.

We could probably talk about anything at that point and the natural conversation of, say, Darren Aranofsky's filmography or Game of Thrones or Comic Book movies would be more than enough to fill an hour of time. And it would be filled with natural, geeked-out tension.

This might be an important aspect to successful podcast.

Also, gives the susceptible audience a perspective to choose or mix&match.

Only problem is that I'm in Houston. Would probably have to call in if you're in Louisiana. But I would love to do it.

You know, $2000 isn't that much.

Heck 20 regulars that post here they can put up $100 and guarantee themselves a guest spot for one episode.

Movies/Shows Chuck Norris would love....all of the movies or tv shows have to be something a real Chuck Norris type man would love to watch.

i can front the $2k but i may need some technical help to do the setup. the main issue is having a ready setup to handle calls and possibly some audacity help when editing it into the final product

Why knowing why we like something is important.

I could do an hour on the awesomness that is Nick Cage.

Maybe the paradoxes of Back to the Future and why it doesn't matter.

That's probably one of the main hurdles we have in building conversations/arguments on this board, and that focus would bring it front and center.

Why film is dying, and how TV helped kill it. And how this isn't really a bad thing

Ummm I don't think so .... Film production is not slowing down. There are 20+ features currently in production here in Atlanta

I'm talking about quality, not quantity. Our best visual artists are moving to TV to tell their stories. TV is telling better stories than film is, and I don't think that trend is going to reverse itself. I don't care about the money aspect of the business, as I am not an investor. I care about the art, because I am a patron.

I also think Money has the right idea. It's about having people you disagree with on and having interesting discussions. The Freaux and Baloo Hour would be pretty boring, as we would just agree about everything.

Imagine the Baloo, OMLandshark and LTM hour, though!
