Personally my favorite Cronenberg film, like much of his work it just feels off and that's what I love about it. Wholesome yet brutal, feels PG at times and hard R others. Soundtrack doesn't seem exactly right but yet works, and of course Mortenson, Harris and Hurt are top tier.

Love that movie, Eastern Promises is also very good with Mortensen and Cronenberg teaming up again.

What’s cool about Cronenberg is that even though this wasn’t a body horror movie at all, it had the same DNA as one when it came to the unflinching brutality and Cronenberg’s clinical style.

Movie is great
