actually thought this was about Major League
Watched SS last year on a family trip at my suggestion. Some incredibly hilarious scenes but lots of incredibly boring divorce/relationship stuff.
Reminded me exactly of Major League. Basically the same movie. Both are great.

Once upon a time, I worked in the front office of minor league hockey teams.
Slapshot is a documentary. It's insane how accurate it is. The relationship/divorce part of it is especially pertinent. Even Goon, the spiritual successor to Slapshot, riffed on this.

You people keep claiming other sports films are in the running.
I'm here to tell you that when you're 15 and sitting in a theater and Paul Newman is having a fifteen minute conversation with Mellinda Dillon's fully exposed breasts, you know it's the best sports film of all time.

My vote goes to Caddie Shack. It is also one of the funniest movies of all time.

Wha is it about 70s movies that seem so cool?
Not exactly the same thing but watched the Lynne’s Skynrd Free Bird performance in Oakland earlier this week with my wife and I just joked with her that everyone in the crowd just looks infinitely cooler than us or anyone we know or could hope to be

Really changes the way I look at the mom in A Christmas Story.

As an amateur golfer, Tin Cup captures so much about the game and is such a good movie..it’s in my top 3
