You have made your ideological views perfectly clear, man . We get it., You are ideologically- possessed. Most of us just want to talk about a good film, not deconstruct Hollywood. But again, thanks for the Nannysplainin’. We are all impressed.

Rage bro. It’s got you in it’s grips . Not that watching you self- immolate over nothing isn’t entertaining, I just hate to see you wind yourself up like this. Let that anger go, cupcake. It will eat you from the inside.

That wasn't the point of that comment, as you well know. I don't expect to know Khaleesi from the block in order to watch GOT. In a movie titled American History X, there should probably be some actual history pertaining to the film's subject matter, no? How many neo Nazis do you know in real life? Because I've never met a single one, ever. Klansmen either, your experience in the South may vary. The threat of these type of boogeymen is overstated and over-represented in cinema. That's by design, just like traumatic events affecting black folk is over done at the movies.

It was a dumbass point you were trying to make. I don't know any Neo-Nazis, but they exist. Are you saying they don't? I don't know anyone like Hannibal Lecter in real life either, but that didn't stop me from enjoying Silence of the Lambs. Come to think of it, I don't know any bank robbers either, but it's never stopped me from enjoying heist movies.

People have all kind of personal "film fatigue" issues. My buddy Joe hates movies that deal with drug use and addiction. A lot of people comment on having "Holocaust fatigue". I generally stay away from films that annoy me by simplifying race issues as do many people. But the mistake this Rage-a-holic guy makes is in all the "why do you guys" bullshite, followed by the Strawmen where he pretends we are all just waiting here to applaud movies that harangue whitey. I was just commenting on ONE SPECIFIC FILM and suddenly this guy loses his mind in an ideological rant. Serious anger management stuff here, people.

And like, this isnt the movie to harp on what is largely a valid complaint. There are a lot of movies that boil down to "white people are bad and racist" and take no effort into establishing meaningful reasons as to why they are that way.

This isnt that kind of movie in the slightest

What a bunch of slack-jawed, thin-skinned pussies in here. A little criticism about a movie you people love and you go off the deep end. It's hilarious that an interruption of your little Neo-Nazi Appreciation Day circle jerk has all you candy-assed bitches in a lather.

frick off, I told you once already I've seen the movie. I wasn't referring to AHX as a "whitey is bad" or a black trauma film, that was in reference to other movies. Read more carefully or don't participate.

So a complete non sequitur

From a decent review of this shitty movie you people love:

"American History X" is a movie about simpletons that often seems to have been written for them, too.

Is it? What makes it good? Is it the violence? The racial hatred? Why are you drawn to a movie that is hateful and divisive by design? What real world does it reflect or try to create?

You're trying way too hard.

Why do people like horror movies? Why do people like war movies? Why do people like completely made up sci fi movies? Why do people like absurd action movies?

A good movie is a good movie, regardless of genre

Lol. You're one of the morons who loves a movie where the racist as frick protagonist overcomes his murderous Nazi past because his lone black friend in prison kept an eye on his cornhole for him. But keep acting like this dumb as shite movie is a deep and insightful tale of racial redemption. You're the simpleton it was written for.

Lol, I think me and the other 96% of the audience who enjoyed the film can live with the scorn and derision of the 4% of our self-anointed cultural superiors who scorn us , curse us and call us “ simpletons “ for simply enjoying the film . But don’t let that stop you from RAGING Margaret, I’m sure the manager will be here shortly to take your complaint. Lol.

Hey, you're the prick that pre-decided what my motivations were for asking the question I did. Why are you so bent out of shape when I tell you exactly what you thought I would say? You wanted scorn and derision, don't be pissy when I give you what you wanted. I asked why people liked the film, you turned this into a treatise about moral superiority and nannyism, none of which motivated my inquiry in the slightest. You could have just answered the question and kept your unfounded opinions to yourself. Your accusation of moral superiority is simple projection on your part, dummy. Next time try having a discussion instead of being an insta-count.

Sometimes psychological projection is subtle. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the screaming flaming Hindenburg of psychological projection. I can’t stop giggling. Probably more of a guffaw. This dude is wound tighter than Tiny Nick Saban after being told he’s not allowed to execute his kicker.

Lol. This whole discussion is academic to me, man. Other threads about race films/shows on this board have gone the same way. People like yourself don't want to actually discuss the premise, instead they get butt hurt that I'm not in lock-step with their opinion about some shitty, stereotypical race flick. It's much easier to attack me then to have a discussion on the merits. Did you ever notice that there are primarily two types of people that love AHX? There's the half-racist white a-hole that gets too much of a kick out of the curb-stomping scene. And then there's the half-racist white a-hole who pats himself on the back because he's proud he's not like the assholes in the movie.

Ok, you think it’s dumb. Cool. So that means no one else should like the movie? And I never thought this movie was some “deep” and insightful tale. Not at all.

I don’t like country music, so should I go around telling people they’re dumb for liking country music? Or asking them “but why do you like it”?

ETA: Green Book is another recent movie with a somewhat similar premise, racist white guy changes his ways because of a friendship he developed with a gay black guy. But, maybe shockingly to you, I thought it wasn’t very good outside of Viggo’s and Mahershalas performances. It was a joke that it won best picture imo

Says the guy who is also attacking other posters and then goes on to make a statement that if you like this movie, you’re most likely just a half-racist

You are ideologically Possessed. You judge art primarily through the prism of politics. And when we say sometimes a cigar is just a cigar you lose your shite. You are boorish and insufferable and you are flailing all over this thread cursing people and unraveling. And I for one, am loving it. Lol.

Dance on the string , boy. Melt for our entertainment, .
