Man idk when Frodo looks like he's trying to frick gandar and talking in some gay accent that was basically it. Also the interaction between Frodo and his uncle at the party was just over the top. I'm not a big fan of fantasy.

They're fantastic films and probably the best film series of this past decade. Defiantly up there with the best of this decade for sure.

You mean the movie series that ends with little furry bears destroying a vastly superior empire?

You are just too big of an LSU fan to sit through that damn guy that played Rudy being a hobbitt.
You hate him, don't you?

Fellowship is a good movie. Two Towers and Return of the King are better

That is about what I expected to happen at any point of time within the first 30 minutes of that movie.

I feel like the OP is joking around, a late April Fool's joke, if you will. No way you brag about liking the movie Rounders more than The Lord of the Rings. I try to just let people have their opinions, but damn, that one is hard to defend.

How this hasn't been posted yet is amazing. LOTR is quite simply too boring for the most part.

LOTR and Rounders are both great movies in different ways. Star Wars is terrible and queer though.

3 movies about a long fricking walk. [quote]BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. Halfway through the first movie I was hoping they would all get killed.

There are better sources to parrot than Kevin Smith, I assure you.

Every epic adventure is just a "long walk" if you ignore the conflict and characterization that make it a narrative.

I liked Clerks 2, but the # of nerds who copy that whole LOTR vs. Star Wars bit is just horrible. I'm sure that is what inspired this thread. Much more likely the OP was watching Clerks 2 than watching FOTR.

/I liked the speech in Clerks 2, but everyone just says it word for word now when talking about LOTR

It's funny in the context of the movie, but nowhere does it contain relevant criticism of either franchise. It's simply a caricature of a heated argument between fanboys, and it was intended to be just that.

The idea that the trilogy is nothing more than nine hours of people walking is an intentional misrepresentation.

I've never seen Clerks 2. Clerks 1 is classic though.
