They should have stopped with season 1. Season 2 reminded me of the later seasons of Friday Night Lights where they were just trying to hang on at all costs. Season 1 was great but season 2 sucked.

I think Clay was misunderstood. Granted he had his problems but he was just a typical nerdy beta male who had zero confidence. He pictured the fairytale type of romance with Hannah where he could be her white knight and ride in and save her. Hannah was perfect in his eyes and that’s all that mattered.

I think that Katherine Langford did a phenomenal job playing Hannah. Christian Navarro and Derek Luke both also played amazing roles.

Hey, commit suicide and everybody loves you.

Hey, be a proven serial rapist and don't get punished at all.

Hey, use heroin, get adopted by a great family, continue using heroin, get the girl.

Hey, try to stand up to the bullies, get betrayed by your friend along with the bonus mop handle shoved up your arse.

Great lessons for teens here.

I understand that viewpoint, I just don't agree with it in this instance. As a teacher, what I've seen since these "dialogues" have been opened on bullying and suicide, especially the former, is an increase in occurrences. I'd have to look up data on teen suicide because I'm admittedly not sure. Students these days have bullying thrown in their faces so much that they will claim that they're being bullied in almost any situation.
