My cousins have a beach house in Hawaii next to where they filmed forgetting Sarah Marshall at turtle Bay resort. Love going there

I always walk around and get drunk around the many bar areas. :coolstorybro:

FSM is a better movie than stripes, and I love stripes.

There I said it.

That fricking “you sound like you’re from London” line that Rudd does gets me every fricking time I can’t help but laugh at it

“Oh no I was going to listen to that but um I just carried on living my life” is one of my favorite lines of all time. It’s the ultimate put down and have used it quite a few times when I’m not interested in doing something.

It's nowhere near as good, or original, or funny at all. Apatow has to show his dick because that's the only way he can get a laugh. Just another formulaic hack.

Overall I would pick Bell, more of my type, but in this movie Kunis was ridiculously gorgeous

I feel the exact opposite. Bell was absolutely amazing in that movie

Until they shot her from behind, revealing her total lack of an arse.

No, that's Tropic Thunder

There's not really another movie like Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It really is unique in that there really are no villains. You get to connect with all of the characters. They're all flawed and vulnerable, and completely justified. And they're all really really funny.

I believe it is the best comedy of the past 25 years (and I can confidently say that because Fletch is now 33 years old!)
I guess you haven't seen Galaxy Quest, Eurotrip, Saving Silverman, The Other Guys, Tropic Thunder, Walk Hard, Reno 911 Miami, Team America:World Police, Dodgeball (fricking Dodgeball!), or Oh Brother Where Art Thou?

All of them and several others I can't think of at the moment take massive dumps on FSM.

Let's not succomb to hyperbole. FSM isn't the best comedy movie of the last 25 years, but it's up there.

I would definitely rank it ahead of the gross-out comedies of the late 90's like American Pie and Eurotrip.

I honestly prefer it over Team America, Reno 911, and Galaxy Quest (I really love Galaxy Quest, too).

It's clearly not up to Oh Brother Where Art Thou (what is?), but it's hard to compare it to the spoofs like The Other Guys, Tropic Thunder, Dodgeball, The Campaign, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Hot Fuzz, Fanboys, and The Last Action Hero.

I would put it on par with the more story/character-driven comedies like Role Models, Old School, Superbad, Wedding Crashers, etc.
