That power play with five minutes left when they were down two goals was pathetic. No sense of urgency whatsoever, just pass the puck back and forth around the perimeter and wait for a cute tic-tac-toe play that was never going to develop. They played like they were up one goal instead of trailing by two during that power play.

Welcome to what we've been watching for most of the season. The PP and basic puck control / passing have been horrible. According to the VGK broadcast team, including tonight, they're now 0-23 in their last 23 playoff PPs. Hoping that this is the slap in the face that they need to get going.

Only two home teams out of eight won in game 1, Canes and Bruins.

You are creating a lifetime hockey fan tonight. Nothing like being in the building for playoff hockey

Absolutely! I’m super hopeful that the Baton Rouge FPHL team sparks a little youth hockey in the city so that he can give the game a go!

After last year’s championship run he’s been BEGGING to go to a game, so it was time (particularly since I thought there was a good chance the Avs get eliminated this round). The stars are aligning for the kid to love the sport forever, and I’ll do all I can to help that out!

EDIT: kid woke up upset that he did not get to sing “All The Small Things,” but figured “we just need to keep going until I can.” Hockey love started

Agreed on this one. It should be a crazy good series regardless of who comes on top.

Easily my favorite, at least in the West.

Damn, I miss the ECHL days of the late 90's.The I-10 road trips were awesome. Especially when you could go to the MS Coast Coliseum for a game, then hit the casinos after. Good times.

Before the Golden Knights began playing here, we had the LV Wranglers in the ECHL. They had one game every season (Usually just before Christmas) where puck drop was at 11:59 pm. It was a nod to the casino shift workers. Those games were fascinating people watching experiences.

Honestly feels like Florida knows this is a do-or-die game, and Boston knows they can afford to lose this one.
