Louisville schedule is laughable. They will easily get a #1 seed. But the easiness will come to bite them in the tourney.

Look at teams that have the most future pros...those teams usually win the whole damn thing (see Kansas and UK).

#1 seeds Kentucky, Michigan state, Kansas, and Louisville.
Champion- uk who I think has a real chance at going 40-0
Poy- Randle or Parker

i'm worried about this with lsu. we don't play any good teams before conference, and the conference schedule itself leaves something to be desired.

i don't think we'd make a big run (this year, at least) even if the schedule was tougher, but a weak schedule doesn't help our chances.

LSU will be improved, but still has some spots to fill and they are not deep. The new rules, teams need deep bench. A lot of players will be getting fouls called on them.

This is the deepest team we've had since Dale Brown was the coach

I expect the Buckeyes to be in the 32/16 range, with a chance to make it further depending on matchups. They'll play good D, but I'm not sure they have the offensive firepower to win a Natty

I disagree with you there. Depth and length will be our biggest strengths this year.

1: Hickey, Quarterman (freshman who is starting the exhibition fwiw)
2: Stringer, Morgan
3: Martin? Coleman, Brigewater? Mickey?
4: JOBiii, Martin?, Odo, Mickey?
5: Malone, JOBiii? Odo?

Hickey, Stringer, Coleman, Martin, O'bryant was the rumored starting lineup a few days ago, but apparently that has changed.

Quarterman, Mickey, and Martin are apparently the real deal as freshmen and from what I understand, Coach Jones loves Malone. I predict we will see a few different starting lineups, based on our opponent, throughout the season.

We will see though, it's hard to predict what 6 new players will bring to the table.

the 2 spot is really the only position that has depth issues.

It concerns me. I wish we would have snagged a good 3-point shooting 2 guard in 2013. Hornsby will be in that role next year.

Outside shooting is our biggest weakness by far IMO. Teams will zone us and someone besides Stringer will l need to step up and make shots consistently. Hopefully Morgan got some shots up this offseason.

I'm not quite as optimistic as most of our fans, but I still feel good about the team this year and in the future. Round of 32 loss is my most optimistic prediction.

well anyone predicting sweet 16 is probably being too optimistic.

I agree. I think we will lose in the first round but I would be thrilled that we made it.

I am.

IF Mitch can stay healthy I have higher hopes for this teams regular season. GRIII looks poised to explode and the two freshman they brought in will be solid solid players. Zach Irvin will be this years Gary Harris, and Walton will be a 12-7 guy at the point.

Plus, everyone's favorite Canuck

I agree. Hopefully, Morgan can be a legitimate threat on offense & defense when Stringer's getting some rest. I'd like to see the staff address that position in recruiting soon. Would really be nice if Hornsby was available this season.

As far as this season, I expect UK to be really good as usual. I'm excited to see Syracuse play an ACC schedule this year too.

That's reasonable although I think you'll be a little better than most think. I expect Ross and Smith to have big years.

Another strong candidate for POY is Russ Smith. With the new hand checking rules, he is going to be extremely hard to stop. He already is because its impossible to guard him at the basket without getting a foul.

He was so much fun to watch last season. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned anything about Andrew Wiggins yet

You may have numbers...but LSU does have deep talent to make deep runs in conference and tourney.

Slow your roll...Jones has you on track, but need more talent (yea, I know your burger boy had a nice showing this past summer).

I just want one OSU basketball title in the next 10 years. The team has been 1 piece away so many years. I don't expect that to change this year
