Based on the stash of newspaper articles on my dad I would say he was better than me in baseball, he was one of the top pitchers in NOLA and when he played against Jesuit it was front page stuff in the sports page..
He also played football and was a quarterback and also basketball, three sport letterman.
I played baseball and that was it

Baseball is a wash
football- Dad with a slight edge as a player, although I was more decorated due to my team
basketball-because of the vast differences on the game I'll call it a wash even though he insists he's better. but the 3 point line didnt exist when he played and I was a sharp shooter
golf- Dad beat me consistently until about a year ago, and now I beat him on the reg(I'm 21)

I was better than my dad at just about everything involving athletics. However, he also had polio.

Did anyone up in here have an athletic Mom, Wife, GF, Daughter?
Mom: Her idea of exercise was picking up the telephone. In those days it was rather heavy.
Wife: She was a volleyball star in HS. Now a long distance runner.
Daughter: Nope, exercise = sweating and that's nasty.

Me vs Dad....My dad is hands down the best football player...played in two state championships with Sulphur High plus got scholly to play football at LSU.
I am better than my dad in basketball. I played Basketball in college at a lower divison.
However when we played basketball together, he continued to tackle me and push me into the fence...he called it Gorilla Basketball.
I am better than my 4 girls in everything....haha and I dont mind beating my oldest in basketball

Me>Dad: athletically, though he was stronger.
Dad>Me: billiards, fishing(by a mile) and hunting, though I'm sure I'm as accurate with a firearm

When it comes to things like fishing and hunting, I'm sure my dad is better than me. He somewhat grew up in the country and did that stuff a lot. I've been fishing a few times, but have never been hunting and have absolutely no desire to.

Baseball: Me>Dad I was an extremely good player in a pretty big city. All-city All-state and a few state championship game appearances. I messed around with college ball until I decided I would rather go to a big school and party.
Golf: Me>Dad It took me til I was 17 to beat him, but I haven't turned back since. We're both around the 8 handicap range so it makes for some quality golf and good battles.
Football/Basketball: He has me, much taller and more built then me. I was a good guard and played a little in hs, but he was much better.
Hunting: Him>Me His dedication to the outdoors is unmatched by anyone I know.

Football-I wanna say wash, but my father played at USM, and although MSU offered me a walk on grey shirt position under Croom, I never played D1.
Basketball-me.
Baseball-definitely me.

Dad was a better athlete than me. He played college and semi-pro basketball(back in the days when companies had traveling basketball teamns.)and ran track in college.
I did not play basketball.
I had scholarship offers for track but opted to be a slacker and not do shite in college.
Quit football after sophomore year.
My Dad was always my coach. It made for some interesting exchanges on the track. We had completely different running styles. He was a frontrunner. I was a hawker. Running the mile or 2 mile he would always try to coach me at the start finish line and cuss me to get up front. I would use the whole lap to think of something to say to back to him.
He says it was a brilliant tactic on his part to get me to run faster so I could cuss him.

dad was better: basketball. his whole side of the family were great LA basketball players. he was 1st team all-state. played in the all-star game. didn't play collegiately but put up 50 pts against Elton before there was a 3-pt line. anytime we pass through elton, he always says, "i put up 50 pts in that gym". of course i respond, "i hope so. they're like a class B school."
i was better: golf. i was beating him in golf as early as 12. i grew up on a golf course so i ate, breathed, and slept golf in my early years. fortunate enough to later earn a scholarship.

I was better- any thing sports, trivia or computer/technology related
dad was better- anything to do with cars, tools, shooting a gun, grilling, or anything else that requires a hammer or other tools

I think I've got my pops beat in all of the major sports. As far as he got in high school sports was the 4th team corner his sophomore year.
I have heard stories from his old buddies that he used to be a hell of a boxer though. They all say that he never lost a fight (they would box behind the old delchamps in Gonzales ).
My dads best friend is every bit of 6'4 230 and he says dad would whip his asse one night a week. My pops was 5'11 140 when he got married at 25 years old.
