Is there any doubt it's Jose Fernandez and Mike Stanton?

I don't see how this is even a debate.

Fernandez and Stanton easily.

Marlins could be dangerous in a few years, but they'll probably shop Stanton off at the All Star break

Yeah little doubt i'd go with anyone else other then Fernandez/Stanton.

Verlander/Miggy is good, but not nearly as young.

Sonny Gray and Josh Donaldson is an interesting duo.

it would be really hard to argue these two right now. I don't know their contract details but too bad for the Marlins they will be playing in different uniforms soon enough.

I don't know about Stanton, a lot of it depends on how the team is this or next year.

However, i'm willing to bet Jose is one of the first Marlins they keep around for awhile

A case can be made from one of Teheran/Wood and Freeman.

And it is not close

Strasburg and Harper are close IMO. Fernandez is great, but I do have some worry about a pitcher who had success so young, especially with his immaturity at times.

harper has a much brighter future than Stanton IMO. Usually, guys with "young man" skills (speed, agility, etc.) age better than guys without it. Stanton has unmatched power, but I really start to wonder how well he'll keep his average up when his bat speed starts to slow down around age 29/30.

The Marlins are going to have one of the best young staffs in baseball. Andrew Heaney will be up soon and he and Fernandez will be a nice 1/2.

Not to mention guys like Ozuna and Yelich are young guys already experiencing success at the MLB level. And they have guys like Colin Moran and Jake Marisnick on the farm as well.

They will be good in a few years

Very true. Gray could end up being just as good as any pitcher in the league. I'm not a big believer in Donaldson's bat doing well 2 years from now.

Might as well start wrapping up Yelich too.

Teheran/Wood

Just stop it. Wood will not be an elite pitcher. A great arm in the bullpen or average #3/#4 starter, but he won't be a top of the rotation arm.
