IMO, dealing with “the grind” is the hardest thing to conquer. Being a great player is vital, but you are mentally done.

5,000 plus today for sure
I'm just wondering why so many people want to play the last day?

Procrastination and plus the other tournaments going on as they’re in days 2 or 3, most of the schedule clears off today to give everyone the chance to play the main
And for recreational, they can play 1d and not have 3 days off in between that and day 2.
Just a hunch though
And also you can “late reg” into day 2 and still have 75 big blinds
Crazy slow structure with 2 hour levels.

224th is about 5 or 6 12 hours days of poker. It's a brutal grind.
How many older poker players still do it? I mean well into their 60s and 70s.

Lots try. Only a few are successful.
But that's 95% of poker players anyway.
I sometimes play with a guy in his 90's. He's still pretty sharp, though a super nit of course. But he enjoys it and is a funny guy.

Mintzy being featured on a table pisses me off. His personality and voice are so annoying to listen to

Lonn and Norman Chad with play by play???

This table is what makes people lose interest in poker. Bunch of no names. Fold fold fold, big blind wins. Fold fold fold button raises fold fold.

I can’t watch no names. People hate Hellmuth but he does give you something. Any of the old school guys have a better persona then the new breed

This is such a nit stream. GTO solvers have ruined poker. Everyone is scared to lose a couple of blinds
