Would Red Grange be able to start with any college team today?

Red Grange who never lifted a weight in his life, and probably started smoking at 16? Probably not. Red Grange transported forward 75 years and given access to modern training and nutrition? More than likely.

Comparing the development and talent of one generation to another is futile. We live in the present, as they did, and they were the most talented, gifted athletes that were allowed to play in the leagues they played.
Would Havlicek have made a team of today, much less been an multi-year all star? How many men now are about as talented as Magic? More than in his era just 25 years ago.

He's exhausted all his college eligibility and played professionally, so no.

When Papa Bear Halas was asked how many yards Red Grange would run for in today's game, he replied "around 80 yards". Chris Berman gawked at the reply and asked him if he was sure.

Halas replied, "you have to remember, Red Grange would be 90 years old today".

He was 6 foot 180+ without the training we have today.. He would've been fine, probably not the legend he became but he would be starting at a p5 program.

Why? He was a phenominal talent that revolutionized the point guard position.. He literally is the father of the position as seen today.

The real question is if the Internet was around in Cousy's day and Rex could post, would he still be a douche bag?

You have to take into consideration that his parents would have had better nutrition and a easier life so they would have been bigger as well. So with modern nutrition and training he probably would have been more like 6'4" and 235 lbs and had a much faster 40 time than he had back in his day.
