I wouldn't take that clown even if he offered to eat grass with me in my living room.

This is generally overstated.
LSU has built-in advantages, but no program truly recruits itself.
Les has done a very good job as a recruiter, and his staffs over all, have done a pretty good job at evaluating talent.
The major exception could be at QB.

No, Bama and Notre Dame don't even recruit themselves.

He's a good coach. No QB controversies, no real offensive problems, and the only thing wrong with our fan base are the young dumb arse fans who have no idea what it's like to seat in the stands and just pray for 6 win season.
Too bad Coach Hud might not be around for too long.

I'm not the biggest Miles supporter, but we could definitely do a lot worse. There are many coaches that would come in and for sure do better than Miles. Mark Richt is absolutely not one of those, and it's comical that you even mention that. LSU and UGA are pretty similar as far as difficulty for coaches to succeed, and Miles has done a lot more than Richt

Downgrade, wouldn't take him at GT in a million years.

to Auburn Fans: Have fun running that Mickey mouse offense with Frazier instead of Cam Newton.
Texas fans: You have a coach who can't win consistently with all the talent in the world, in a conference built around your school
FSU fans: FSU has as much talent as LSU and still drops 2-4 games a year. YOu have lost more games to unranked teams under Jimbo than you have won against ranked teams.
GT fans: Les is better than your coach, but would have a hard time recruiting to your school, because you're terrible.
UGA fans: Richt is Les Miles without the ring. Without a trip the NC even.

I'm not sure. I'd definitely take him over Slocum, Fran, or Sherman...not sure about Sumlin though.

I guess alot of these guys wouldnt of wanted to go to the title game twice, win 10-11 games most years, and have great win loss records vs top 25 teams and non conference teams. Yeah, Miles has costed us a game or two each year (which he needs to fix), but for the conference he plays in and his record here.........its pretty good. Esp playing in the SEC. The good teams from the ACC, B12, and Big10 should have no problem winning 10 games a year in those conferences, but to do it in the SEC where champions come from.........

Miles loses 2+ games nearly every year, and it should be more but he's bailed out by his talent and pure luck.

There's a lot of objective posters in this thread.
Has there been a single "upgrade?"
That includes "downgrades" from ULL, LA Tech, GT, Georgia, and Texas?!
