Don't know if this has been discussed in this thread or not...but was anyone else annoyed by the constant reminders that this was their first World Series win in Fenway in 95 years? Good God that got old quick. They make it seem like the fanbase has suffered for 95 years. Cowherd has hammered them today for it. I watched this game sporadically through the first 6 innings, but watched the entire last 3 innings. I swear Buck mentioned this shite at least 15 times in just those 3 innings.
Stick with the marathon bombing story and being Boston strong.
Boo fricking hoo Red Sox. I'm glad ya'll won...but as a Cubs fan, that shite is annoying. Yeah I'm mad...but I feel as though I'm entitled to it.

Thought the same thing. How important can that really be when you've won 3 World Series in the past decade? And IF IT IS that important, frick the Red Sox because every team in baseball would kill for 3 World Series rings in the past decade.
As a Cards fan, I couldn't give a damn where the Cards won it. Sure, it's cool if they win it in St. Louis, but I'm not so hung up on that part as much as I am on the part that they WON THE WORLD SERIES. Jesus.
But it was mostly that Fox needed a storyline to sell and I guess didn't want to go to the Boston Bombing well. Who knows?

Yep, me and every Red Sox fan I know thought the story was ridiculous. It was a plot line made up by the media to see if either Boston would choke again or if they could win it in their own ballpark. There was never a curse in the first place, had there been one, it was broken in 2004 and surely by 2007. This was just the media trying to hang on to a plot line that no longer exists.
