Texas is now the greatest Road playoff team in any major sport having won 11 road playoff games in a row, or 11 road games period.
To do that they beat:
Rays
Orioles
Astros
Diamondbacks
in order.

This is the first time a team that I’m a fan of, college and pro, has won a championship in a legit sport.

I'm 48 and a lifelong Rangers fan..... NO CLUE how I'm supposed to be acting today!
Such and awesome feeling and surreal!
Thank you Texas Rangers that I got to experience this at least one time in my life! Incredible season!

I forgot baseball was still going on. What a horrible World Series matchup. What were the ratings like?

i realize that very few fans of their team are going to have an NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB championship in their lives.
i'm not holding out for an Aggie Football or Basketball championship.

baseball for them is feasible.

That seems like a pretty small area for the amount of people I assume are going to try and attend.

Just got me thinking about Beltre going into Cooperstown next summer.
I can’t recommend that trip enough for any Rangers fan. I went 10 years ago and we will probably go next summer.
Every baseball fan owes it to themselves to get up there once and what a great excuse

I wouldn’t be so sure it won’t be a huge crowd.
Parade was on a Monday here in Houston last year. Estimated attendance was 1 milllion+. Lot of schools either closed or excused kids that went.

This is me with my hands up to the far left of the photo on a Lowe homer in July against the Dodgers. Took my daughter to the game. They showed us on the big screen on a replay, and I grabbed a screeny off the MLB website.
Geaux Rangers!!!!!

Not sure how many here listen to The Little Ticket but Bruce is up next w The Musers. After that, Tom Grieve, who came to Texas from the Senators as a player, then GM and finally the broadcast team. Both should be good radio. On iHeart online as well 1310 The Ticket. No account needed.
Edit: shite. Gordon is Bruce
Grieve will be real.

Speaking of the Ticket, one of their former employees (Ty Walker) left this summer to run his family’s t shirt business.
He posted a link to the World Series champ shirts last night and I just bought 2. They aren’t the generic stuff you see at Academy
FYI they are all on sale for $16 for 48 hours but I upgraded to the ultra soft material for $22

I listened until about 3:00am. Some good callers actually. An 84 year old man stayed on hold for an hour and got on around 2:15. He was pretty excited.
Rangers PBP tv announcer Dave Raymond was on prior to "Bruce". He was so happy about this win. He started talking about Eric Nadel and how happy he was for Eric to get to see this. He choked up and cried also mentioning Emily Jones in the process. Boy, I almost shed one as well. People are just happy all over today.
