Very clearly a foul ball.

Looked like it hit dirt to me, but the umpire said "foul" ... or it least it sounded like it. Carter should have been smarter there though. Can't afford to waste a single run.

That was a cluster but I'll say one thing, ump behind the plate has been nails on balls and strikes.

Missed opportunity there.

Lowe, Heim, and Tavares have been a black hole in the lineup this series.

Yeah I mean there's 1 out and it's a ball hit down the first base line.
How the hell he thought that wasn't going to end up being a run down is inexplicable.

With 1st and 3rd, 1 out, was that a running error pretty much on tge run down?

Don’t worry d backs. Walkman will tie it up.

Calling on Aroldis Chapman to protect a World Series clenching lead is unenviable.

Evan Carter hit his 9th double of the 2023 postseason in the 7th inning of World Series Game 5 tonight. His 9 doubles are the most by a player in a single postseason, all-time, surpassing Mookie Betts (2020), Ben Zobrist (2015), David Freese (2011), and Albert Pujols (2011).
