I'm still pissed at Phillips swinging at the first pitch following a mound visit.

The Japanese would make him wear ribbons of shame on his chest for this.

I don't have MLBN so I haven't been paying that much attention to the WBC, but I just looked at the roster. Is that really the best we have in this country? No Cain, Posey, Verlander, Kershaw, or Trout? Why aren't better Americans on the roster? J.P. Arencibia and his .275 OBP are on the team, but the MVP, Buster Posey, is no where to be found. Are the players I mentioned just unAmerican? Or what?

The North Vietnamese strategy has decimated their stock of baseball talent.

What's worse is that our team is made up mostly of former all stars. Outside of a few players Canada's team is mostly scrubs and minor leaguers. Even though not all of our best players are playing in this, we should never lose to Canada with the talent we have.

The general would get a hit with two on and 1 out.

He loves his country also.

well what's worse? losing to Canada or Mexico (which is how we got in this position in the 1st place)

I think the teams that pay them hundreds of millions likely dont want them to play in a worthless tournament.
