I always wondered how good Jay Williams would have been in the nba if he didn’t own a motorcycle.
I mean we have data and he came into the league as a fully-formed guy who spent 3 years in college.
He was OK but not great. Probably would have been a rotational piece on a good team or a stat chaser on a bad one.

Jay barely had time to settle into the NBA before he got injured. He was an excellent college point guard, and was drafted #2 for a reason.

Remember that weightlifting video he put out during lockdowns?
Dude had terrible form and got bashed for it.
Was just a matter of time.

He was not ‘great’.
He was a severely limited point guard.

Dude worked himself into an above-average 3 point shooter before the end of his first contract. Given where he started entering the league, that's more than encouraging.
He was never gonna be All-NBA, but he had a very clear trajectory as a long term contributor on any team.
