What
The combinations wouldn't change because different teams were in the slots.
The same combinations would get picked.

Those are win totals not championship odds

is your shtick just being a complete moron and dropping stupid one liners to get downvotes? What an odd shtick. That or you’re retarded.

If they finish with even 1 win or loss more that does not happen.
So in this alternate universe every team has different records, but the lottery combo doesn't change?
It's a stretch to act like Zion wouldn't happen with that trade.
However, the 'gamble', in hindsight, worked for both teams IMO.

Why would the lottery combinations change?
Are you thinking some kind of butterfly effect that magically changes the way balls bounce?

It isn't a remote stretch. It would not have happened. Period.

I seriously doubt that the Pelicans would want Garland.
1) Very low basketball IQ
2) KLUTCH SPORTS CLIENT.
I'm thinking they want nothing to do with Klutch at this point if they can avoid it.

I think the "gamble" for the Pels is that they wanted Zion over any asset that was on the table. The only way that they could ensure that they get Zion was to wait until after the draft lottery to make a trade. That's it, IMO.
Now, a crazy turn of events happened and they landed Zion without having to make an AD trade, so things have changed, but in the end I think Zion was their priority.

I mean I like Garland as much as anyone, but he played 5 college games against subpar talent, lets pump the brakes

They're just arguing that it worked out, not that it was a master plan that resulted in it working out.

got it, makes sense.
i guess my overall point is that the #4 HAS potential and is not some complete trash prospect

The 4th pick has definitely gained traction. Guys like Culver and Garland have seemed to be gaining some value.
Posted on 6/12/19 at 5:01 pm to Fun Bunch
true but the fact that the same guys getting named at #4 are also being seen at #10 in mock drafts tells you that there are a lot of different opinions on prospects out there
