The 4th pick is trash.

Outside top 3 picks it is as good as the 10th (speaking of the 4th in reference).

There isn't a player on Lakers team, even LeBron at his age, that justifies any trade with them. Value is not equal.

Celtics would have to trade the farm for me to make a move--tatum, brown, smart, and a top 10 pick that Boston would have to find to give--they can figure that out if they want Davis.

Otherwise pelicans lose.

you're out here suggesting pels turned down a boat to increase Zion odds by 3%.

sure thing pels lmao

Weren't the Pelicans interested in seeing if, for instance, New York got the first pick?

Pelicans finished in 7th place and received all of the combinations associated with the 7th overall pick. win 1 game, lose one game and we get the combinations for the 6th or 8th pick.

ask the Wizards & Bulls who they are drafting

got it. pels turn down a boat to increase Zion odds by 3%

oh you guys are cute

Beal is considerably more valuable than Aldridge. I can see NO landing an Aldridge or Love for sure. If that’s what they want

Beal is 25, under contract for 2 years on a nice deal, and a really, really good player. Like easily could have been All NBA this year good.

I could see someone like Aaron Gordon or maybe Myles Turner but I don’t think there’s a team with the assets to satisfy both Washington and NO’s additional demands when Beal hasn’t demanded a trade or anything.

i think its possible that something could be worked out with the wizards. maybe. but they dont have anyone calling the shots for stuff like this right now which makes that seem unlikely

What planet are you on?

If they do that deal:

The Lakers pick isn't 4

The Pelicans don't get Zion.

Both the Lakers and Pels beat fairly long odds. Other than having to have a do over, you just don't know how the odds shake out in a second go around.

Just not to the Wizards. Also, I was saying that would be the ceiling of the type of player 4 could possibly fetch. Not exactly those players, just a player of that caliber would be the best one could hope for.

You don't really get it, but it worked, didn't it.

Also, the Lakers don't have the 4th pick either.

And this deal is not done. So...we will see.

Yes we do.

The teams in those slots win the 1st and 4th pick.

I disagree on Beal, and he is a different caliber of asset than Aldridge

I think you're probably right, and something like the 4 (and maybe one more asset if needed) for Aaron Gordon makes more sense.

no we did it to increase our Zion odds by 17% (add that 3% to the Knicks 14%)

turned out better than we could've imagined

In the Wizards current state, Beal doesn't really do anything for them. His most value to the Wizards would be for a rebuild if they can find the right deal.

Again, a player like Beal is the best one could hope for even though he is more valuable than Aldridge.

I’ve thought Gordon would be a really nice change of scenery candidate the last few years. He’s had like 4 or 5 coaches in Orlando and inexplicably been playing the 3 a lot and despite that still hasn’t been bad

In a stable situation with the right guys around him I think he could flourish

ESPN is now reporting that the Clippers and Nets are heavily in the mix and gaining traction.

I’m not convinced Boston is in. I think they could be bluffing to drive up LA’s cost
