Such a lazy hire. Because his first head coaching stint went SO well. Finley promoted to GM likely as well.

Personally, I’d much rather have Mosley.
I hope I’m wrong, but J Kidd would be such a shite hire. I’ll be very prepared for Luka to leave.

Same on Mosley.
But Kidd is far and away more of a player's coach than Carlisle has ever been, and I think that would go a long way in appealing to Luka. It's just going to come down to what they put around him

Every fricking thing that comes out about the Mavs is just bad news now. Cuban is running a shite show and I’m pretty confident now that Luka will be gone in 3/4 years. Cuban will probably sell the team after. Gotta run Luka out of town first.
I love Dirk, but he’s admitted he hasn’t even really been following the league since he retired. So yeah let’s bring him in to help pick guys to replace Donnie and RC. Cuban 100% did that to help dumb Mavs fans like the Kidd hire. They were going Kidd all along.
Looking back now at those rosters around Dirk, and all the reporting about how Cuban been fricking shite up since the title team, this organization would be a disaster had Cuban not inherited Dirk and pulled off the Luka trade.
Now us Mavs fans have to pray that this Nike dude can talk a star into forcing their way to Dallas, cause the coach sucks, the owner sucks, and Finley is another Cuban yes man.
