Have you seen some of the policies regarding "date rape" being implemented by colleges lately? Putting the burden of evidence on the accused; basically a guilty until proven innocent point of view.

I've been to university court before. I won for what it's worth. Called a lawyer friend and ran through what I had, and he said go for it. For the record, I was even a bit guilty. Nothing like rape though.
ETA: I never had to go to court though. The prosecutor through it out after meeting with me.

Dude, read up on what they can do to an innocent person. I 100% think that if I'm ever in a position where I'm innocent, that I'm smart and clever enough to convey that to absolute perfection. But it's not true, and I'm probably not.
It's why so many innocent people talk to cops without asking for lawyers...then incriminate themselves even though they are completely innocent. It's not as simple as "hey I'm innocent and I'll get the truth out there!!" These people are paid TONS of money to make you look and feel like a retard. And if there is any chance of that, and my lawyer tells me to stfu...that's what I'm gonna do.

The moment you open your mouth, so many variables come into play. The sound of your voice, inflections, visceral emotions of jurors, how you move in your chair, eye contact, EVERYTHING.
If you open your mouth, chances are a juror is going to say, "I don't trust him one bit. He raped that poor girl."
Rape is one of those crimes where, even if you didn't do it, the fact you're accused makes people not trust you. The same thing goes for child molesters.

Pssshhhhh. That's nothing. There was a prosecutor in New Orleans who knowingly excluded DNA evidence that exonerated a defendant. Dude was put on death row. I think he was executed.

I agree, but it's their job.
What's worse is cops, even cops that are wonderful people, aren't there to help you. You get falsely accused of rape, or shoot and kill an armed intruder in your house, and the cops who arrive will do everything in their power to get you to start singing like a bird. And god dammit, absolutely none of it will be to "help" you. In fact, 90% of it will be to frick you.
If you're in that situation, never say anything. Like, pretend that you're mute.

If he is willing to push an authority figure (ref) on National TV...pretty sure he would push a co-ed to go too far, against her will, in a bathroom.
