That and 4 of our starting OL injured and not playing - on an already weak unit - is serious cause for concern......

I do think Stanford's OL is overrated right now though. They lost a lot from last year and are very young.

I think you are right here. They have not looked very good up to this point. The problem is I've seen young olines come together at some point - usually the 3, 4, or 5 game. Their oline is extremely talented and the light bulb will come on.

UW doesn't match up well defensively.

Watching their game with Portland State on the Pac - 12 network and their run game sucked against an FCS team.

Our starting RB had 103 yards on only 14 carries. The bench got a lot of time since it was 45-0 at the half.

Stanford is going to be able to pin their ears back and rush price. I have no faith their oline will stop them. I really feel bad for Price's knees.

I do agree with most of this though

Yep. Our OL is a dumpster fire.

Any of the line expected back after the bye week? Just adds up like a team that could get healthy with 2 weeks to prepare, backs up against the wall, nobody respecting us... Crashing Stanford on a weekday home game

I honestly think they have a shot. Price is a mobile Qb, they have the best TE in the nation with ASJ, and Nunes is a very average Qb.

I am watching the game right now. Run game should be doing more than this against an FCS team. Stanford is going to turn 4 ypc into 2 ypc.

I really don't think Sark has recruited poorly on the oline. UW had to show they were back to get the beef. I actually think he did a great job getting Hatchie and Brostrek (sp???).

Not sure, Sark shut down all injury reporting.

I don't think it would be as big of an upset as some people are making it out to be. We have some great talent on both sides of the ball and were a fringe top 25 team before the season started. A slow start against SDSU, getting demolished (as expected) @LSU, and a string of injuries has kind of killed the buzz around the team though.

I think a lot of UW fans would disagree with you here. Hatchie and Brostek were good gets, I agree with that, but they are a redshirt Soph and a true Freshman. But we had some big misses with Zach Banner and Josh Garnett, 2 legacy 5 star recruits in our own backyard. We have some alright talent, but they're all Freshman or Sophomores, pretty much no upperclassmen on the line outside of our starting Center.

Sark was not going to take over a 0-12 program and commence his tenure with some 5* olinemen, even if they are legacies and in-state recruits.

He got Kasen Williams and ASJ the year before and was able to land Shaq Thompson in that same recruiting class as Banner and Garnett.

I know that UW got 5* recruits. The last peice in a rebuilding process is the trenches.

They just have USC's number. Since it is a home game though for UW, I would say that it will be a very close game.

They've had your number as of late too though. Agreed? I think if you can stop their run game it can be close.

I'll give you 1 game (LSU), but we did the beating against Portland State and had a lot of serious bad luck against SDSU to make that game close. We have had a lot of injuries, but most of those occurred outside of actual games.

I didn't mean it like people are injuring you. Just that after this stretch more could come. Your team is already getting thin....this stretch won't be helpful.

Yep, but a lot of that has to do with timing I think. Everybody dominated us 3-7 years ago, and they've had Luck at QB along with a ridiculous OL and Harbaugh for most of the past few years. I think they're very overrated at #9, but that they're still a top 25 team.

Yeah, the first part of my response was directly about the game results, which I assumed you were referring to. This is going to be a brutal 3 game stretch.

I agree they're probably overrated but it's too early to tell. In a few weeks we should have a good grasp on how good most teams are.

Definitely going to be brutal.

I like Sark too, and generally root for UW when it doesn't affect SC adversely. As a kid I'd go to ucla games vs. UW and root for Don James boys to put the beatdown on the bRuins, when SC was away.

Anything can happen in CF, maybe Stanford lets up after a big home win over SC in their own conference road opener, but I don't see it. Not at all.

UW is at home so it's possible.

Not exactly. They're playing at Century Link Field, home of the Seahawks. It should be loud though, if they can keep the crowd in it.
