Keep an eye on Indiana in the next couple seasons. Beard would be their 1st choice but Wade maybe on the list as well. One of our area coaches is an IU grad, he says word is Woodson is worn out and maybe calling it quits soon.

You speak like a child and constantly make false, ignorant and idiotic statements. I just wonder why posters like you pretend to be LSU basketball fans?

So he didn’t get caught on an fbi wire tap then get fired sending the program into chaos?

You have to think Beard is going to be everyone's first choice. But it's hard to look at the potential candidates out there and not think Wade is close to the top of the list. At it's core, what got him fired was "allegedly" providing impermissible benefits. However, the days of needing to have clandestine conversations about "pay for play" are over. It's pretty much out in the open now. So there no real risk of a repeat offense.

Now, is it possible a basketball crazy school could come and dump a truck-full of money at the doorsteps of guys like Bruce Pearl or Nate Oats? Sure. But they are both in good situations. So if I'm an AD under the gun to make a good hire do I go with a mid-major coach who MIGHT be great...or just as likely, might NOT? Or do I go with a guy I've seen win, consistently, at a power conf. program who can only be described as inconsistent in the years before his arrival? And one who has engineered the biggest turnaround in all of college basketball this season at a program that has never been any good.

Wade is going to have interest from big schools. I think the question will be is one of those schools a place were he thinks he can be a big time contender? In other words, I think he's likely stay at McNeese another year if his only options are places like Washington or Vandy

I'd bet a ton of money Will Wade stays at McNeese at least 1 more season. It's a perfect spot for him until a top 10-15 type job comes open and he probably needs another year to increase his value for such an opportunity. Judging from how badly McNeese has bludgeoned the league at home this season, it's hard to imagine McNeese not going to the Big Dance each year Wade coaches there.

The Wadeophiles are loping their mules as they watch that interview.

I think that’s the whole reason they did the pay bump to $700k in the middle of the year. They don’t want him to feel like he has to jump at the first offer he comes across and at the same time if there is a job he really wants then McNeese gets a million dollars to reinvest in the program and try to find a solid replacement.

I think he’s likely at McNeese one more year and then moves back into a major job. I think most schools are going to want the show cause to be over before hiring him.

Beard is a Bobby Knight disciple, that’s why I think he’d be first on IU’s list.
