Since your first 10 troll attempts don’t work, you pull out the race card. Good job

I thought Tasha proved in court that Aiden was Daxton's kid

Race card?

Not really about race at all. It’s about choosing a mascot that NOBODY else is proud of

Never heard Daxton. Interesting one there. Youngsville for sure.

Because “Tigers” is so unique and original.

You’re digging that hole even deeper.

Authement came to power in the wake of the Beryl Shipley scandal, he was never supposed to be a long term president

When Ray Authement took over, then USL was playing football in the small college division.
It was under Dr Authement that the Cajuns moved into 1A football.
Under Dr. Authement the academic and institutional profile was evolved from what was a peer of Nichols and McNeese to peers of La Tech and UNO.
Maybe he stayed too long. But what you are and what you want to become athletically could never have happened without the institutional transformation that he led.

Who is this "y'all" you speak of? I actually have a degree from the university you're embarrassing right now, and I wish you'd stop.

So we should have gone with bulldogs, eagles or lions or tigers

Guess it's better than naming it after a battalion from the losing side of a war.

Authement and Raymond Blanco were responsible for killing a deal to hire Larry Blakeney and for hiring Jerry Baldwin to help out their families' political aspirations

Mike Leach and Rich Rod were also candidates that year as well.

Actually, we Cajuns are very proud people.

But go ahead and continue to shlt on an entire culture, some of which are also LSU grads.

Record-Breaking Year of Fundraising

quote:
Louisiana's $12.4 million raised topped last year's $10.8 million, completing a growth in funds raised by more than 14 percent. Cash and new pledges were a sum of investments in Louisiana's annual giving, scholarship endowments, facility campaign gifts, sport-specific giving and premium seat donations.

The new record mark of $12.4 million is the most raised in the 10-year history of the RCAF organization.

quote:
"We are certainly pleased with this accomplishment and are extremely grateful for all of our investors and Cajun Nation, as a whole" Maggard said. "Growing our resources will continue to be a focus moving forward as we prioritize graduating our student-athletes and positioning them to compete for and win championships."

That $12.4 million is nothing for an SEC school but it's a steady growth for us. Once again, trending upward.

Meanwhile up in Ruston they are pulling up their sleeves to support their program:

quote:

The difference is Ruston cares a hell of a lot more than Lafayette. Lafayette thinks they’re entitled, Ruston has pulled up their sleeves and got to work. Because of that, Tech is in CUSA. USL, the worse conference in Division 1A football.

Well, I know that we aren't supposed to delve into the financials of any school (or does that just apply to ltu@r?), but that data really does illustrate where each school stands.

Actually it's a pretty good mascot. A group of people who have flourished despite persecution and exile and live life to the fullest. I'll allow it!

Well actually they were Bulldogs when I was a kid and back when my parents went to SLI. It'll always be USL to me but the Cajuns nickname is a fitting tribute to the good people of the region.

Not picking or trolling you, but I don't get why anyone would want to advertise that. It's been ~20 years and you still want to call it a name that no longer exists?
Kind of like calling it "Skaggs" instead of Albertsons, IMHO.
Why celebrate one's obsolescence?

I wouldn’t put too much stock into what he says. He poses as a fake graduate of our school in order to shlt on our fanbase claiming that “you can go to one school while being a fan of another.”

Just another bandwagon fan with no college degree
