The only teams with the rosters to win 16-17 games IMO are

Ohio St
Alabama
UGA
OU

ND and Miami peak around Semis

They are the favorite at this point but they don't look elite.

I hate to say this but if Bama stays healthy, they are gonna be a hard team to beat. They look better each week…

They have for sure looked good. I don't know if they have the LOS this year to stop the run. They seem to have had a problem with that this year so far. It obviously bit them against FSU, but they were bad against UGA and to a degree Tenn. as well.

If they improve that they have as good a shot as any team for sure to win the whole thing

What exactly hasn't looked elite?

im FAR from an Ohio St fan, but they are popular to crap on.

If your team has done what they have and sitting 1 right now, what would you be saying? We are overrated?

They have looked damn good and i dont think Day has had to really show his playbook.

This is 100% correct. He has said this on a few occasions. This is why the Texas game was so close, it was a very vanilla play calling in that game.

Not sure how you can tell if they're elite or not with that pathetic schedule.

I’m realizing I haven’t seen them play 1 game yet which is unusual by October.

If GA starts playing for 4 quarters, I think they can match up well with OSU

I agree. This would be a fun NC game!

Agreed, and Day would be looking for revenge for the 2022 playoff game. OSU is the best team in the nation, but I still wanna see Sayin against a great defense. He's had it pretty easy so far.

OSU doesn’t have the same running game as last year. I doubt they stomp anyone.

The on field results. Which performance looks elite to you? I see a good to really good team with no elite performance yet. I'd bet on them to win it but elite is a different level.

Their defense has given up the least number of points through seven games since 1993 Florida St.

Definitely not elite thus far right?

If true, college football is really trash right now. No big 20 team can play with OSU regardless of rankings.
