He has the same amount of rings Jordan did at this age

1) MJ had only been the NBA 6 years before he got his first

2) MJ had bigger roadblocks/competition than LeBron (ie Isaiah Thomas and the Pistons, Bird and the Celtics, Magic and the Lakers, etc)

3) Bringing up MJ in a LeBron discussion isn't fair to LeBron. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

I agree with this!!!!!!!!! He is playing great and he is already the series MVP. I will give him the credit he deserves for stepping up and getting it done. Way to go BRON.

I agree with all that. He's certainly risen to the challenge and has been great. The Thunder are clearly nervous and are crumbling, and the Heat are using their experience last year to their advantage.

That said, Lebron finally winning a championship will not silence the haters/doubters and will be pretty meh because all the talking heads will say is "when will he win another?"

I think it's underwhelming because of the super team and the controversey with the officials...he's not going out and taking the championship, it almost seems like it's being given to him.

"he's not going out and taking the championship"

30-9-4
32-8-5
29-14-3
26-9-12

Yeah, he's not going out and taking it.

Lulz sorry. TRADED for Kobe with the Charlotte Hornets. They got Vlade Divac. Pretty fair trade

Nice boom attempt, though

Two of the best players in the east did not get to play in the playoffs. Its nice the Miami gets a decent opponent for the finals.

many champions faced far greater opposition than the thunder, in the conference championship games.

L.A. Lakers with WIlt and Jerry West and Elgin Baylor beat Jerry Sloan, Chet Walker and Norm Van Lier by winning 2 OT games, and another on the last play. the Bulls won their three by 8 or 9 points each. Those Bulls were better than Miami.
Same with Isiah's Pistons, who lost to Bird in the Eastern finals.
That group with Laimbeer, and Dantley and Isiah and Rodman were better than Miami or the Thunder. They didnt even make it to the finals.

So.. its not that impressive to me.
Wilt had 50 points per game and 25.7 rebounds per game in 1962. And his team had 4 other guys in double figures.
That team lost in the eastern conf finals to Boston, who barely got by L.A. in 7 games, the last in OT.
quote:

During the series, Lakers forward Elgin Baylor scored a Finals record 61 points in Game 5. Celtics center Bill Russell set a still-standing record for rebounds in a 7-game series with 189, and tied his own record for rebounds in a single game with 40 in Game 7.[2]

He deserves a championship. Stop all the hate and appreciate what you are seeing. I love Durant and I believe he will get his too. They like every other team that ever won a championship have to pay their dues and learn from their mistakes.

Sure. That doesn't make their run any less legitimate though. They beat who they had to.

1962 is cool and all...but you had 6 teams in. Today you have 8 in a conference. Of course the field is watered down.

I don't see how it could be underwhelming. If Miami wins this series, it will be against a great team who has the 3-time scoring champion on their roster. LeBron's numbers have been absolutely gross this entire postseason. If anything, he has silenced many critics and has done a lot to "salvage his legacy".

Yes. I personally think so. When you bring a team together like a 9 year old playing super Nintendo, then claim you'll win 8 titles, then fail miserably as overwhelming favorites, I'll go ahead and say that you have to be in that discussion.

I cannot think of a superstar in any sport with a more meaningless title than this one will be for LeBron in my eyes.

30.5/9.7/5.3 on 50% shooting this postseason pretty incredible.

Lebron is also the first player in NBA history to have at least

650 pts
200 rebs
100 assists

in a postseason.

Very underwhelming

This is dumb. When Kobe finally won one without Shaq, the Kobe Lovers said he finally got one by himself. He only had a team full of allstars. No one wins by themselves. No one.

You do realize there is a salary cap and every team is on equal playing ground. if the heat would have traded for bron and bosh would you feel differently? If so, why?

Probably a little differently. If they trade for him, "The Decision" never happens. He also doesn't shite all over Cleveland in the same manner, but he still quit on them..

Do they still throw the championship circle jerk where he says they win 8 titles?

I haven't watched it In a long time, but I was under the impression that he said the goal was multiple cha, pionships. Not that he was predicting 8 titles. I could be wrong though.

I dislike him as a human being.

Responsible financially, kids with 1 woman (his girlfriend since high school whom he married), philanthropist, great teammate, never dogs his coaches in the press, never dogs his teammates in the press, pass first score second type of player, gold medal winner, 3x MVP, best player in the world, humbles, praises his opponents, etc. I could go on forever. BUT HE MADE THE DECISION! He left the team he was DRAFTED to, the team he led to unprecedented heights (best record in the league twice, first division title in 30 years, first conference title ever, only finals appearance ever, ALL WITH NO HELP) , for a chance to win a championship (for less money).

What isn't there to hate about him?
