The two actually have a lot in common. From 1983-1992, Elway had the lowest QB rating among all QBs with at least 3,000 pass attempts. From Cam's rookie year to now, Cam has the second lowest QB rating among all QBs with at least 3,000 pass attempts only ahead of Joe Flacco. Both were the most physically gifted QBs of their generation, hamstrung by overly conservative offensive coaches (Reeves and Shula), had very pedestrian offensive supporting casts early in their careers, etc...

and you plan on backing that up with what?

VS his peers Moon is a better QB than Newton is. Check our their QB rating + and get back to me.

No they don't... Elway took THREE teams to the SB basically by himself... Cam does NOT have the talent to do that.............

Unless he eventually wins a Super Bowl the image of him puss'ing out on that fumble recovery will be hard to overcome.

A lot of these guys like to compare Cam Newton strictly to pocket passers and completely ignore his rushing stats, even though he’s a dual threat QB.

He’s lead his team in rushing in more than half Carolina’s games this year.

This. All the great QB's of the 80's put up their numbers when they and their WR's were getting lit up.

Modern day passing stats are lies.
