So what made him decide to okay it for NBA Live 2000?

Im assuming money.

Probably the same reason he let the 2K people basically build an entire game around him a few years ago.
Bird and Magic got in on it the next year.

He was in Bulls vs Blazers for Super Nintendo too.

Super Tecmo Bowl had a couple of unstoppable guys though.

Bo Jackson
Barry Sanders
Montana/Rice
LT on defense
Marino/Clayton/Duper

Any Tecmo discussion is incomplete without mentioning the Nigerian Nightmare Christian Okoye

I remember Bonds not being in video games for a while during his steroid peak. Im guessing he did the same thing.

he was there, just as "jon dowd" or "joe young".

did the nba games have aliases for jordan?

A similar situation happened with tee shirts after the Cowboy Super Bowl wins in the 90's. No Troy, Emmitt or Michael on the really cool ones with multiple caricatures on them.

I always thought it was to make the games fairer.

Well some games just had a guy named Roster Guard, he's MJ though

i think in one NBA live if you created a player named "michael jordan" it automatically, "randomly" created a guy who was just like jordan. 98 if memory serves

I've always wondered this and NBA JAM would have even cooler had he been in it.

probably wanted to negotiate his own deal separate from the players union. Bonds did the same thing as he wasn't on any MLB games until at least 05, in fact i dont think he was ever on a MLB game

Pretty sure he was in Bulls vs Blazers on Sega too.

Yes he was. I loved the fact that I could play with the bulls and have Jordan on my team. I was confused/disappointed about him not appearing in any other game until NBA live 2000. If only he could've made an appearance in NBA jam or hangtime on N64..

ETA.. Speaking of bulls vs. blazers.. Anyone remember the guy with the weird voice yelling "SHOOT IT!" at the end of every quarter? Kinda creeped me out as a kid lol
