I do agree that it is boring but I think I know why....
Soccer is boring because, to us, there is no set plays and organization. I know you soccer freaks can go into detail how they have so much going on that we don't know about, but frankly that's the biggest grief I have. I feel like I can walk away from the tv for 10 mins and nothing will have changed.
In football (real football), after the play is dead, they 'reset' at the line and try something else.
Baseball you have innings that separated the time so you can organize what happened when...
Basketball, even though the scoring is quick, there are plenty of time outs and easy to pick up if you just tuned in.
Soccer has such long periods of play that it sometimes feels like they are just out there kicking it back and forth.
Also any sport where the clock counts up and not down, can suck my balls!
