Why isn’t the Coaching Changes board a permanent TD forum?

It’s easily one of the most informative and entertaining boards on this site. Plus coaching turnover is a nonstop thing. I just don’t get why this board is seasonal and Tigerdroppings still has a dedicated soccer board and a book board.

It's like the McRib, part of its allure is that it isnt around at all times.

Do you have any idea how much it costs per board?

Thankfully it sends all the rantards there for a while. Wouldn’t call it informative when 75% of it is speculation.

Truth here.

Let's think about this from a business owner perspective. Right now, when it's Coaching Changes Board time, Chicken only has to go down to Temporary Hamster Staffing Services and select a temp hamster from the pool of assorted candidates, and just pay via 1099 system.

If the Coaching Changes Board was full time, he'd have to employ an additional full time hamster, which will he would be required to pay medical/health insurance for, all the associated FICA taxes, etc. that would come with a full time W2 employee.

It's a business decision.

8 NFL coaching vacancies and they close the board. Was it only for LSU coaching hires this year?

I mean, at least wait til NFL is wrapped. Or til Nick Saban announces his surprise retirement. I’m pretty sure CC is getting more hits than the Book Board.

Incidentally, also like the McRib it’s high on hype and low on actual quality of sauces.

The entertainment value, however, is off the charts.

The only reason it is a thing is to keep the ranters from spamming the Tiger Rant. Very little actual new coaching info is posted there.

Taking it away artificially inflates the demand for it.
