Why isn't Bob Stoops ranked higher among college coaches?

Though he has struggled in big games to some extent, he has had sustained success at OU with recruiting classes that are solid but by no means do we out talent every team we play like Alabama does.

God Bless and To Hell With Texas.

Tujone's relentless character assassination.

f#%k. I spelled it right the first time, in any event I blame ShaggyBevo. But also like Stoops, hell he won a Natty.

I think he'll gain some more credit if this years OU team doesn't sh*t the bed.

Good coach started out big, blown out big, last bowl win was a much needed boost at his coach cred. But ranking coaches, who gives a shite.

Speaks to shitty recruiting if you don't. The big 12 is ou, Texas and a bunch of shite runts that should never compete with those two.

Bob Stoops has arguably gotten 3 cracks at BCSNCs that he didn't deserve. In 2003, 2004, and 2008. He got his arse basically handed to him all 3 times. He was and still is touted as a defensive genius, but his teams still have these 62-51 games with average Big 12 teams, year in and year out. The guy has stacked his smoke and mirrors resume in an average conference for years.

Was talking about more recently. We recruit well, but we don't out talent Kansas State, Baylor, and TTU like Bama does Arky and the Mississippi schools quite like we used to.

Look what Saban brings to Tuscaloosa. All equally as appealing if you strip football history.

Let me know where he is ranked so I can properly answer the question.

We lost to a texas team that went to the Natty the next year, and UF beat us by 10..... We beat everyone else by 14+.

The others, I won't put up much of a fight

I think he should be ranked in the 6-8 range. He's done extremely well at maintaining success, but has failed at numerous opportunities to win championships. And throw in some really bad blowout losses while giving up 50+ points to average teams in the recent history
