We just went 6-0 this weekend in 100 degree heat to take down the bling bling. These kids will never accomplish anything in their lives as big as that. I made sure they all knew it as I lit the victory cigar and made them run poles after the ring ceremony. Hard work never sleeps.

Growing up, everyone went from YBBR to Squires. You played in the league and it was a big deal. You also played a ton of tournaments and traveled around, but I can't think of any teams that didn't play league ball.
You also had the kids that played American Legion at Driller's Diamond. That was the more lax league in town.
I've got a young son and I'm scared of what travel ball has become.
