Why is Kiffin considered a bad hire as a CF coach?

Specifically, why he is considered by most here and many in the SEC ranks to be doomed as a college football head coach failure? And don't give me the sanctions crap- the consensus here was the same before sanctions. It's not like he didn't begin go turn around UT's offense in his year there. Not to mention recruting.

I've always thought he was a pretty good coach. I agreed with his decisions in Oakland, he was just held back by Al too much. In Tennessee he had his team ready to play. I think a lot of people don't like him as a person, which I suppose is understandable, but I think he's a good coach.

Here today....gone tomorrow......and still hardly any sort of resume in terms of success as a head coach.
and he's a douchebag.

he's a possible stack of TNT in terms of NCAA oversight
his father is the main part of his hire, and his father is 834 years old

Why is he a good hire? What has he ever done besides some shady recruiting (which is EXACTLY what USC needs right now btw)?

He just has done very little to warrant a high-profile coaching gig.
Kinda like the "he was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple". Especially with the cocky attitude.
He had little success at his last 2 HC spots (albeit at rebuild jobs), and lands at a power program like USC. Just doesn't make much sense.

His meh record?
Until proven otherwise, he's nothing special. He may not be "bad", but who's to say he's good?
We won't know the answer for 3 years anyway, but it probably won't be too tough to succeed at the program Pete built.

I think he has great upshot. Did well as OC at SC (anyone could have though). Learned from some of the best. Recuiting is great. Really began to turn UT around. He does not have enough a resume yet to be considered a "good coach". but based on what he done as a caoch and recruiter, he certainly has more pros than cons.

Why would he be considered a good hire? What has he done to be considered a good hire exactly?

You mean he improved them by 2 whole games, a season removed from them playing in the SEC Championship game. Man that is such a turn around, no coach in the history of coaching could have done that.

I have already answered, which is more than you've done. You responded to a question with a question.

Lane Kiffin is perfect for USC he can bring about more sanctions while they are already on probation and just say he did not know.

so I guess you could not answer the original question.

look at Oklahoma State's record before and during Les Miles. He is still a shitty coach.
