I'm so pissed at myself for just now stumbling across this greatness after all the good jokes have been taken. Would read again.

I watch plenty baseball I'm just saying perfection is throwing 27 pitches and striking out all 27
How do you strike out 27 batters when you only throw 27 pitches?
Are you sure thats baseball you are watching and not the Food network?

I actually did read again. I laughed all over again after reading the 27 pitches 27 strikeouts post. This thread delivered.

a perfect game is when the pitcher throws 81 straight strikes and each batter swings at every one and misses.

Pitching 16 innings and giving up only one run was an even more impressive accomplishment by him in that game ! (3-4-5 hitters he faced a total of 21 times in that game were Brooks Robinson, Jim Gentile and Boog Powell!)
