I would wager that the number of mlb fans outnumber the college fans 500-1.
You're missing at least one zero. College baseball does absolutely nothing to move the needle on a national scale.

Lol it isn’t.
I watch LSU and that’s about it. Same with basketball outside of the tourney.

How I can tell your OP is flawed logic? Easy
If my favorite ncaa Bama baseball team makes it past the super regionals and gets a ticket to Omaha, I’m
motivated and all in watching and reading. If Bama is irrelevant in ncaa baseball, idgaf about ncaa baseball that season regardless. Not so with ncaa football or basketball though. I’m motivated about and watching both regardless if my favorite ncaa team is relevant.
The MLB fans I’m sure still care deeply about MLB regardless of their favorite teams success.

The college postseason is great. Wish it were more popular. MLB is straight 3-4 game series the whole year which is boring. Would be nice if they changed it up some. Have some mid season or season start up tournament or something. Make games count as regular season like MLS did in group play for startup tournament.

It’s all about da money boys!
Athletes, regardless of da sport, amateur or professional, will put forth effort and are more entertaining when money is on da line, ie college athletes hoping to get noticed and drafted and play professionally go all out every play, pro athletes put forth just enough effort to make the playoffs and coast most of the time then go “balls to da wall” during the playoffs for da bling and da money.
College sports are more entertaining for dat reason...

LSU might legitimately make up an entire 20% of the sport's fanbase.
Literally no one cares about college baseball.

Nobody really likes College Baseball, they just like it when their team wins.
Aluminum bats, games take forever, back in the day 20-15 games?
WTF is that?I
Now it's 1-0 games.
College could never find a balance and a viewership beyond students...and trust me, if the team sucked or was just average nobody was showing up to games.

A few
The SEC has like 80+ players on opening day rosters right now. It’s more than a few. A few or more per team among the top 8-9 programs is more accurate, which is pretty damn good

Depends on what team you’re talking about

Louisiana does not have a MLB team! That is why College baseball is better for the State of Louisiana!

Just another idiotic lsu thread

College Baseball is the biggest bandwagon college sport. Either the team is awesome and going to Omaha or nobody cares.

A few things come to mind. Personal feel of the stadiums. The little quirks of all the different fans. Bringing your own beer. Not over commercialized (unless you are an LSU fan). I like how the college playoffs mix up double elimination and 3 game series better than the long series of MLB.

And the Athletics, Royals, etc. Even historic franchises like Detroit have dreadful support when they’re bad.

Yea there are more you’re right
But it’s not the level of bandwagon like college baseball is

I'd like to see a pro baseball league set up with lineups similar to Little League.
12-14 Man Roster
Everyone can pitch and hit somewhat
All fields same size
Everybody has to bat at least once in the game
Full baseball rules except for
7 inning games
Pitch limits
60 game season
Everyone makes the playoff and play in a seeded best out of 3 series
I think there would be a lot more offense
