Why doesn't the NFL allow local broadcasts for regular season games?

I think it'd be pretty cool to watch a TV game with saints homers. Every other sport does it. Why not football?

The NFL succeeds in spite of the people running it.

They make almost exclusively bad decisions.

Because the NFL doesn't care, they also like to push handicapped children out of wheel chairs for fun.

I don't know what you mean. Local affiliate broadcasts will show it. Affiliate. Road casts of ABC, NBC, fox, or cbs

I would pay money for a scott Zolak feed like its own red zone channel. He’s plastered out there right now

MLB has 162 games
NBA has 82 games
NHL has 82 games
NFL has 16 games

Spot the difference.

That's easy. The NFL schedule is perfect for national broadcast.

1) Each team plays once a week
2) 16 game season per team vs 82 or 160

The other sports have way too many games for them all to be national/regional broadcast so for the games that aren't you get local broadcast. The NFL will never allow local broadcast of regular season or playoff games because they are paid an insane amount of money by Fox/CBS/NBC/ESPN. Not to mention the exposure to have those games seen by so many people

If the other sports had the type of schedule and interest for every single game to be able do that you would never see another local broadcast of a game that mattered ever again
