Why does Pop and the Spurs always draft international players?

Most of the time pop always drafts players from other countries or signs international players. Does he not like American players?

They fit his system better. Its not really about athletes just ball movement and motion on the floor. The euro guys who have been playing professional basketball for a few years typically catch on better than a 19 year old American player out of college

I served for 5 years in the Army and served in Iraq with the 1st Cavalry Division in Baghdad. I went on 300+ combat missions. And????
