But I guess soccer's rules are just perfection, in your eyes. And that's sad.

The rules have been tweaked and changes, once again you have no idea what you’re talking about

The thing is you specifically. Everything you've said about soccer is wrong. People like you shouldn't and won't have any bearing on changing the game.

jeez, all i’ve suggested is that the rules could be tweaked to allow for more scoring.

I don’t get why people are so viscerally opposed to even considering that.

The issue is more that you’ve made it abundantly clear that you don’t understand soccer, but yet you still think you can make adjustment to improve the game. It would be like me trying to change the rules in hockey even though I know very little about the game. You also come off as a dick in most of your posts

you make it sound like soccer is rocket science. It ain’t.

Too many games are 2-1, 1-1, 1-0, or 0-0. And some of those goals are PKs. Not nearly enough scoring and not enough legitimate scoring chances.

I feel the same about baseball. A 1-0 “pitchers duel” is a 3 hour yawner.

Most people like offense. I don’t want soccer to have 15-14 scores, but 6-5 would be nice.

One thing i do like about soccer— the game is quick. 90 minutes, running time.

No, the issue is you’ve acted like the sport has never had any rules changes, which is false. You’ve done nothing but repeatedly prove that you don’t know anything about the sport.

This is your opinion and billions around the world disagree.

Displaying your ignorance again. Americans like offense. The rest of the world is fine with soccer as it is.

are you retarded, a tight game , great pitching and defense at any moment a big hit or a crazy bounce for a seeing-eye double

I prefer that to two, three runs in inning sloppy defense horrible pitching

you do realize baseball is dying, right? It’s slow, with far too little action, and games last far too long.

I don’t want no-pitching, no-defense 15-14 games, but 8-7 with a lot of hits is a hell of a lot better than a 1-0 game where nothing happens.

What is with this board’s aversion to offense?

Would you be happy with 3-0 football scores?

Annibale Frossi, who was a famous player, manager and journalist in Italy considered a 0-0 game to be perfect, because that meant neither team made a fatal mistake. It's a sentiment Italians identified with for years, which is why the media still associates Italy with an uber-defensive style of play.

Point being, any Americans making blanket suggestions on how to make soccer "better" are incredibly ignorant to what the rest of the world prefers.

The 2006 WC semi between Italy-Germany is one of the two or three best matches that I’ve ever watched. It was 0-0 until Italy scored in the final minute of extra time.

Because you admittedly don't know shite about the sport. You're the jackass that shows up once every other year after a major tournament that you caught highlights of that feels the need to "fix" soccer.
