It was a good, loud crowd. But, the booing over penalties was poor form. Within the first minute, the Cajuns jumped offside on defense. They booed as loud as I've ever heard, over a VERY obvious infraction and penalty. And they booed the officials the rest of the night; now, some of the calls MIGHT have deserved it, but an obvious offside in the first minute? That indicated ignorance or delusion, IMO.

I went to the game as well and thought some of the boo'ing and bullshite chants after some of the penalties were a bit much. Regardless I had a good time and it was a great game to watch. Congrats to them on a good game and a great season for the program.

One note; the "U U U UL!" chant was kinda guido.

Pathetic. Some DJ on a radio station in Laffy tried to say Nola was just as crazy and packed for their win over SDSU as it was when the Saints beat the Vikings to go to the superbowl.

My point is, even if a program has some years of failure, they can still turn it around.

ULM's problem is that their fans and athletic department are generally apathetic.

I do wonder how many ULL fans have gotten out of Acadiana and realized just how few people in the state/country refer to them as UL. But its not worth the frequency it gets brought up.

Well that's the funny thing. You see the University never called themselves ULL. There's no law that says we have to call ourselves ULL. So why do we continued to be called that?

Right. My post was mocking yours. You compare the Dinardo era at LSU to ULLs football program. Dinardo's lack of success at LSU would be called the golden years at ULL.

According to yall it isnt, but to everyone else it is.

quote:

University of Louisiana at Lafayette is the formal and official name of the university. Please use this name in all first references.

UL Lafayette is acceptable for second reference.

The following uses are inaccurate:
ULL, U of L, U of LL, and U of L at Lafayette

Kinda sad this is on your home page.

So LSUtards determine what we're called?

Kinda sad this is on your home page.

And yea it is kinda sad but when you have people making up abbreviations it's something you have to do.

I'm guessing you went on our website to look for instances where we called ourselves ULL and couldn't find anything. So thanks for proving my point.

No actually, Just went to see what your "official" name is since you said that wasnt it.

And nowhere does it say you are simply called UL btw

I know UL Lafayette didn't. Think about it. UL lafayette changed their name at the same time as ULM. Since they went by ULM, people assumed that we have to go by ULL.

and yes I realize that. But in athletics the school calls themselves UL and Louisiana (not the University of Louisiana). And athletically, the school does use UL all over the place.
