I was in the quarter and at the game and not once did I hear a UL fan mention LSU negatively. I'm not saying it didn't happen but LSU was the farthest thing
from most fans minds. I think the vast majority of fans were enjoying the first bowl experience in 40 years and had other things on their (our) mind.

You really aren't very bright are you? LSU isn't the one holding back the other schools. The whole UL system holds its schools back. There are too many and Louisiana has 14, FOURTEEN, 4-year state funded colleges. This for 4 million people. Blame idiots refusing to close some of these schools or dropping them to JUCOs.

Us Tech alum have a saying that ULL fans can appreciate: it goes something like this, "I wear a LaTech shirt because I graduated from Tech.....those peeps where LSU shirts cause they went to Wal-Mart.

I graduated from ULL, didn't have any friends or family when I moved there, and I was there for about a year and a half. It very much has a small town identity. Most of the people from Lafayette, if they don't hate LSU, they at least hate Baton Rouge, so you're gonna put up with a lot of crap if you're from BR.
The worst was my LSU ringtone going off in class, I thought my prof's head was going to explode.

I got to talking to a ULL fan last night at a bar during the game. It was a fun convo till we started talking about LSU. You would swear we were talking about Sandusky or something. His girlfriend even told him to get the bill because there were leaving. I had to laugh a bit. I freaking go to Tulane!

I have been an LSU fan my entire life. My degree is from UL. I chose to attend UL because I'm from the Lafayette area and it allowed me to work in the family business. There are undoubtedly a lot of LSU haters that attend school there but I would say the majority would support any school in Louisiana. I don't understand how people can bash another in state school unless your meeting them head to head. I am really happy for UL with their win last night. LSU is in a different league when it comes to talent, recruiting, and money. People either refuse to accept that fact or can't get over their jealousy issues.
Just sit back and root for all Louisiana teams like I do. This Lafayette guy is pulling hard for the tigers like I do every game.
Can't wait for the 9th!
