Phil’s playing great right now at 54 f’ing years old. Phil’s longevity is off the charts.

Phil’s win at Kiawah is probably one of the craziest wins of my lifetime. He was 51, had been an unserious player in the wilderness for like 3 years, and stuffed the best Major player of the generation in a locker.

It definitely came out of left field.

I love the game. And I'm just an average player at best. But sometimes I can shoot in the upper 70's for months at a time followed by can't break 100 for months. Can't explain why, except for the mental game.
Golf is the only game designed to beat you.

It is crazy to hear them talk about their swings and how they are constantly changing stuff. Dudes will win a major and then be on the range a week later making swing changes to “get better”,
I have wondered if sometimes they do go overboard and screw themselves up
That's what messed Tiger up after the run he was on till the mid-2000's in my opinion..
He started playing "golf swing" instead of playing "golf" and he was never the same.
Yes, he had hot streaks but never the dominating consistency he had before he started constantly tinkering with his swing mechanics.

this is chicken or egg though. weren't the changes in response to injuries or at least the hint that they were coming?
I don't think he just started making changes strictly to get better at golf while he was dominating at his peak.

I mean thats idiotic. Rory has to win 15 more times to tie Phil.
At Rory’s age, Phil had 3 majors and 29 wins.

What happened to Bubba Watson?
Number 2 player in the world in 2015 is now ranked 1804.

Yeah, a lot of this is hindsight. He completely revamped his game twice and won bigly after those changes. Obviously, it doesn't work every time. I would imagine if he could do it over again, he would've stuck with Butch Harmon a little longer.

Golf is very hard. You have to practice constantly to keep your game sharp. It’s still 75% mental and 25% physical.

He's going to have to continue to be a top 3-5 player for a decade and win a major to even get close. Pretty tall task, even for Rory
He has to do less than Phil did post 35 years old to pass Phil.

Maybe your worst golf take in a history of horrible takes.

Saying they “won’t be close” is just silly

Bubba has never had a drink. Been friends with him for 22 years.

Without looking, take Rory's best years and compare them to Phil's in the Tiger era.
I'll wait

What exactly are you waiting on? Rory most wins in a single year is 4
Phil is also 4
Rory most major wins in a year is 2
Phil most major wins in a year, also 2
Phil is also 4
Rory most major wins in a year is 2
Phil most major wins in a year, also 2

You're the one blowing Rory. If he played in the prime Tiger era, we wouldn't know who he is.

You laugh when you have nothing to back it up. Once again, you show you know nothing about golf.
