Why didn’t Caleb Williams play last night?

Does anyone else find it bizarre that Williams didn’t atleast play 1 series? I can’t remember the last time a rookie qb didn’t dress out in a pre season game. It’s like they’re treating him like a proven 10 year vet. This is the kind of thing that continues to make him unlikeable.

For the last few years it seems no starters have played In the hall of fame game, rookie or not. He is unlikeable for many reasons but this is not one of them as it wasn't his choice.

Let Bagent get the reps. That way hopefully we see him week 9 lead the bears to the playoffs by turning the season around and Caleb loafs the sideline.
