Why did the Timberwolves change their court and jersey?

They went with the most generic look ever IMO and I don’t understand why. These were both so badass.

Damn I forgot about these. And late 90’s/early 2000’s era court are undefeated

I kind of like the new jerseys they needed a fresh start like Tampa Bucs did tbh. Those unis were too synonymous with losing.
I'm sure they'll rock the throwbacks and even a throwback court soon enough

There’s so many damn courts and jerseys in the NBA. 7 years ago I could have visualized any jersey or court. Now, there’s a home, away, alternate, City edition, and courts to match. I understand it’s all about money, but it’s been combined with this era where everything has to be “modern, clean, or fresh”.
The Clippers logo is a great example. They took something mediocre, and turned it into complete shite. They’ve messed with jerseys that should be left untouched (Celtics), and rebranded just for the sake of rebranding (Hawks, Cavs).
There’s a few franchises I think that have done well, namely the Bucks, Suns, and Jazz.

Agree I'd add the Hornets to that

I like the new one, it's a good update on their original wolf in front of the basketball logo.

Court was ugly
Jerseys were nice

Agree with all of this except the Jazz. Their uniforms might be the second worst in the NBA behind the Clippers.

I liked those old ones but actually like their new color schemes.
